Leap Ahead Preschool of Boise is looking to hire a dedicated 2s-3s teacher that is very sweet, patient, loving and fun.
ONLY looking for teachers who have a willingness to follow routine, curriculum, take children outside, and following center and licensing policies.
This is a busy group of kids age 2 and young 3's who need lots of active play and a teacher who can be fun, but also understands how to help 2-3 year old's learn appropriate social skills.
This is an ideal position for someone who is very energetic and whom thrives in fast paced environments.
Must be able to work quickly to keep up with an active group of toddlers.
We believe the single most important thing that distinguishes a high quality preschool from an average one is the relationships the teachers have with the students.
Teachers who are able to have fun, be silly, interact with the kids, and get down and play.
Toddler teacher must show the ability to meet the social/emotional needs of toddlers in care.
The young 3s will be transitioning into our preschool room in June and this position has the possibility for the new hire to transition out the preschool with these kids based on performance.
Our operating hours are 7:45am-5:30pm, must be flexible and able to work full time working any hours as required.

Teachers must be able to work hard, lift up to 40 pounds.
Lots of cleaning, diapering and potty training are also part of the job description.
Teachers are on their feet cleaning up toys, cleaning up meals, cleaning up from art, changing diapers.

We take children out until about 20-25 degrees, staff must be willing and able to take children to play outdoors even in the snow! Bundling kids up is a big task, but makes for happy and healthy children at Leap Ahead.
Snow is a magical experience for children, staff must be willing to take children out to enjoy the magic.
During mild weather preschool students spend about 2.
5-3 hours per day outside, toddlers 2 hours.
Children do stay indoors when weather becomes too wet, hot or cold and teachers are required to supplement with large motor indoor activities.
Leap Ahead has a strict no drama policy, teachers are to refrain from gossip and negative talk of other coworkers.
This is a must and teachers will face disciplinary action for not following this policy.

Paid holidays are available after 90 days.
Christmas eve, Christmas day, Thanksgiving, day after Thanksgiving, Memorial day, 4th of July, and Labor day.
Paid time off is available after one year of full time employment.
Paid holidays and paid time off is revoked for poor attendance.
Pay depends on experience.
Higher rates are for those with experience.
New hires will be required to obtain and Boise City Child Care license.
To start must obtain the temporary license, which can take about 2 weeks.
We can assist with the licensing process.
Upon hire training will be required depending on experience, staff often participate in 10-30 hours of online training on Idaho Stars during first weeks of hire.
