Ten Mile Academy is actively hiring an Assistant Teacher.
Experience as an early learning educator is preferred but not required to be considered for an Assistant Teacher position.

Assistant Teachers specialize in the learning, developmental, social, and physical needs of young children.
These educators provide a safe and comfortable environment in which young children can learn not just early academics, but social, motor, and adaptive skills.
Responsibilities primarily include assisting Lead Teachers with:
* Preparing lessons, units and projects to complete age-appropriate learning objectives.
* Training and evaluation of the team (as assigned), helping to develop exceptional employees who serve as major contributors to center’s success.
* Managing day-to-day classroom activities, including structured lessons, free play, bathroom breaks, lunch time and rest time for children.
* Developing and maintaining a warm and nurturing relationship with children and parents.
* Creating activities that are fun and educational for the children.
* Other essential responsibilities as outlined in the job description and as assigned by the Director.
Preferred qualifications include teaching experience in an early learning center or school, post-high school training/education in teaching or early learning (such as CDA, teaching certificate, college degree).
