Posted 10/02/2023 Instructional Designer The College of Idaho invites applications for an experienced Instructional Designer to join our team and contribute to the development of our online graduate programs, including our new Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) program, which aims to provide advanced education and training to Physician Assistants.
In this role, the Instructional Designer will play a pivotal role in the design and development of engaging and effective online courses.
The Instructional Designer will collaborate closely with faculty and subject matter experts to create innovative instructional materials that align with program objectives and meet the needs of adult learners in an online environment.
The Instructional Designer’s expertise in instructional design methodologies, learning theories and educational technology will be vital in creating an exceptional learning experience for our students.

This position may provide for the opportunity to work remotely from almost anywhere in the United States without relocation or hybrid in the Boise/Treasure Valley area.
Work requires collaboration with other team members during our standard business hours and may be required, on occasion, to report to our Caldwell, ID campus.

Qualifications Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in instructional design, instructional technology, educational technology, or a related field.
Candidates must also have proven experience in designing and developing online courses; strong knowledge of instructional design principles, learning theories, and instructional strategies for adult learners; and proficiency in using instructional design software, learning management systems, multimedia authoring tools, and other educational technology platforms.
Priority will be given to candidates who possess a familiarity with Canvas by Instructure; experience in the healthcare or medical education domain; experience with accessibility standards and ensuring course materials comply with accessibility guidelines; and/or a passion for staying abreast of emerging trends, research, and best practices in instructional design and educational technology.
