*Expectations:*
- To profess a belief in Christ Jesus (See Profession of Faith statement on the JI application at joshuainstitute.
org).
- To have compassion and empathy for students who struggle to learn, without enabling.
- To participate in the National Institute of Learning Development (NILD) educational therapy certification which includes ongoing continuing education.
- Be intentional to know your student (s) academically and relationally.
- Maintain student
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess individual cognitive needs and growth (Training is provided).
- Develop appropriate educational student success plan (SSP), updates, and annual report (Training is provided).
- Provide 1:1 educational therapy/mediation and support to students with a diagnosed learning disability or learning challenges.
- Intentionally plan each student session and keep qualitative notes for each student session.
- Collaborate with the student’s learning team to develop each SSP and to monitor the student’s progress.
- Implement individualized educational therapy techniques and strategies to promote cognitive development (NILD Training).
- Attend parent conferences 2x per academic school year.
- Provide continual parent communication.
- Attend monthly all-staff day.
- Utilize conflict management skills to address challenging behaviors or conflicts that may arise during educational sessions.

- Bachelor's degree.
