*Job Title: *4-H PYD Youth Instructor
*Job Summary:* As a 4-H PYD Youth Instructor for Boise Urban Garden Schools, you will teach, lead, and facilitate hands-on STEM activities to underserved youth, aiming to increase their educational opportunities and spark their interest in these fields.
In addition to conducting STEAM programming, you will also be responsible for data collection, community outreach, and networking.
This is a 4-month position where you will commit an average of 28 hours weekly to service.
*Service Term: *May 13- August 31 (end date is flexible with back-to-school schedules)
*Key Responsibilities: *
* Lead STEAM-based summer camps at ¾ acre garden site
* Assist with nutrition-focused culinary camps
* Lead on-site environmental education field trips
* Assist with special events
* Provide a rich learning experience for campers focusing on STEAM topics such as gardening, soil health, sustainability, insects and pollinators, garden to table culinary skills, harvesting and tasting, and health and nutrition
* Collect data, conduct community outreach, and network with community partners
* Expand your experience in education curriculum development, education presentation, and other professional skills
* Spend 60% of your time in front of students teaching
* Prepare and practice lessons
*Requirements: *
* 17 years or older
* U.
S.
citizen, or U.
S.
national lawful permanent resident
* Able to clear the National Service Criminal History Checks
* Willing to travel, must have a valid driver's license
* Self-motivated and able to work independently
*Schedule: *
* 8:30am-4:30pm
* Monday-Friday
* 2-3 Saturdays

* Member Living Allowance of $6,000.
00 paid in allotments of $750.
00 every two weeks
