Summary The Occupational Therapy Services Supervisor is a member of the Service Delivery team, reporting to the Service Delivery Partner.
Working from their home, the Occupational Therapist (OT) Supervisor will have accountability and responsibility for the effective operation of the Occupational Therapy service.
This position will work with Pearson Virtual School management and educational leaders within the various states online schools to establish and maintain the various requirements, ensuring outstanding academic and business outcomes.
The OT Supervisor supports a variety of tasks to enable business operations across service lines.
Projects and responsibilities are determined by school year cycle needs.
The OT Supervisor role includes direct supervision of a team of OT provider s , including when necessary direct clinical services to a reduced caseload of students.
Focus will include hiring, onboarding, team development, leadership team engagement, supervision, and enhanced support of departmental initiatives and projects.
This is a full-time, 12-month role.
Core Tasks and Responsibilities Supervise and manage a team of OT providers Provide direct therapy to students as needed (reduced caseload) Maintain a high level of communication with OTs to deliver program information and address individual student needs Assist OTs with implementing any program or policy changes and/or new software application introductions Assist with service and evaluation scheduling when needed using PVS preferred platform Drafts and sends text message reminders for therapy sessions to students Audits parental consent documentation to assist with Medicaid reimbursement Regularly audits student logs for therapy sessions to ensure providers are annotating services appropriately Communicates with therapists and families about scheduling changes Conduct regular touch base meetings with direct reports sharing constructive feedback, following observation cycles and using resources provided to the leadership team Complete formal performance evaluations as required by Pearson Virtual Schools Ensure intervention in the case of low student participation/performance Communicate and collaborate effectively with Pearson Virtual School colleagues and school special education staff to ensure full implementation of program policies and procedures by direct reports Collaborate within and across pods as needed, including maintaining effective relationships with school staff and Pearson Virtual colleagues Ensure that OTs exhibit and maintain a high level of professionalism, clinical support, and customer service Document instances of noncompliance with staff expectations and provide necessary support and follow up through coaching and mentoring, consulting with HR as needed Demonstrate leadership by chairing meetings, taking initiative to execute tasks, and verify follow-through from direct reports Be an expert on assigned school and state specific policies and procedures for implementing Occupational Therapy services Review and analyze a variety of reports to maintain compliance, including understanding and interpreting the staffing model Complete all required professional development, training, and courses required for CEUs to maintain credentials and meet company compliance standards Serves as the Occupational Therapy subject matter expert Exports data for state specific Medicaid reimbursement templates Supports account creation and onboarding of new therapists providing related services access across multiple platforms Additional duties as assigned Required Skills, Experience, and Competencies MA or MS in Occupational Therapy, National Board of Occupational Therapy certificate preferred Supervisory experience required, preferably 3+ years Valid state and/or Department of Education Licensure in Occupational Therapy required Ability to obtain and maintain multiple required state certifications and clearances as assigned 5+ years experience in K-12 school setting delivering OT services, virtual experience preferred Strong technology skills (will use Pearson Online Classroom, Power BI, SharePoint, Zoom, Microsoft, Google Apps, HubSpot and other software) Experience with Medicaid reimbursement and processes, preferred.

As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows: The minimum full-time salary range is between $82,000 - $84,000.
