*Job Title:* 4-H PYD Youth Instructor
*Job Summary: *As a 4-H PYD Youth Instructor for the Idaho Botanical Garden, you will teach, lead, and facilitate hands-on STEAM activities to underserved youth, aiming to increase their educational opportunities and spark their interest in these fields.
In addition to conducting STEAM programming, you will also be responsible for data collection, community outreach, and networking.
This is a 4-month position where you will commit an average of 28 hours weekly to service.
*Service Term: *May 13- August 31 (end date is flexible with back-to-school schedules)
*Key Responsibilities: *
* Facilitate on-site field trips
* Teach STEAM summer camps
* Assist with organizational details and logistics involved in delivering programs
* Attend weekly planning meetings and monthly one-on-one meetings with team/supervisor
* Collect data, conduct community outreach, and network with community partners
* Expand your experience in education curriculum development, education presentation, and other professional skills
* Spend 60% of your time in front of students teaching
* Prepare and practice lessons
*Requirements: *
* 17 years or older
* U.
S.
citizen, or U.
S.
national lawful permanent resident
* Able to clear the National Service Criminal History Checks
* Willing to travel, must have a valid driver's license
* Self-motivated and able to work independently
*Schedule: *
* 7:00am-4pm during summer programming
* Flexibility with shifting schedule
*Benefits: *

00 paid in allotments of $750.
