Tutor Needed- Elementary

We are currently seeking part-time tutors for a role teaching reading, writing, and elementary school students at our GradePower Learning Meridian center.
This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys teaching the ins and outs of ELA, and is passionate about helping others build their learning skills in these areas.
Tutors at GradePower Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre-planned and prepared.
Applicants will be fully trained on our philosophy and methodology.
Position Requirements:
All Tutors at GradePower Learning need to have flexibility to work during after-school and evening hours: Monday-Thursday (3:00pm - 8:00pm) at least 2 days a week (Summer tutoring also available).
A commitment of a year is preferred.
Continuing for longer is even beter! Your students will love working with you, so being reliable is a must.
This role is in-person.
You must be able to commute to this location; this is not an online position.
Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.
We encourage you to apply if you have the majority of the following requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field is ideal
Second year or later university students with tutoring experience are encourged to apply as well
Teaching certification is an asset
Good knowledge of the current 1st - 5th grade curriculum
Experience:
Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Elementary School (or equivalent) level required
Strong English writing, oral communication skills, and ability to guide students' understanding
Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
Responsibilities (Position Details):
You will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities:
Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
Teaching in-person
Following the GradePower Learning methodologies and philosophies
Completing daily student communication updates to key staff
Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times

Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $17-$18/hour (depending on prior experience)
Schedule:
Evenings
At least two days/week from Mondays-Thursdays, with a potential for Fridays
