Prepper Lead

Job Overview We are seeking a Prepper Leader to for our prepper team (chip & grind, wash bay operator and tractor driver).
The qualified person will lead all aspects of prep work before trailers go for painting.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate success in manufacturing operations while leading a team of 10 to 15+ hourly employees.
Job Responsibilities Operate all types of tools necessary to the job, including grinding tools.
Make sure surfaces of the trailer are prepped and ready for painting.
Make sure all team members are trained to effectively perform their duties.
Develop and train back up team members.
Assist in team building and encouraging teamwork.
Enforce all company procedures / work standards.
Make sure team members are producing at company standards and that they are following company procedures.
Enforce all company procedures, safety, and work standards (including PPE usage).
Work side by side with new team members.
Provide leadership and direction with emphasis on team building through daily shop floor meetings, effective communication, and develop an efficient team which executes production requirements, changes, customer needs and process improvements.
Ensure team members are fully trained in all aspects of safety and abide by safety rules and practices.
Participate in Root Cause/Corrective Action process in all safety and quality occurrences.
Embrace and educate employees on the continuous improvement culture, apply tools and leadership to improve business metrics.
Keep area organized.
Maintain excellent attendance.
Ability to work mandatory overtime.
Complete daily paperwork Education and/or Experience Required High School Diploma or GED required.
2-3 years minimum of operations, process improvement or training experience.
Previous leadership experience preferred.
Must have excellent organization skills, communication skills, and computer proficiency.
