The Vice President and Chief Financial Officer reports directly to the President/CEO of the Treasure Valley Family YMCA Association.
Job Description Reporting to the President/CEO, the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (VP/CFO) is responsible for the development, analysis, documentation, coordination and implementation of the strategies that enable them to strengthen its finances and, ultimately, increase the Association’s impact in the communities it serves.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree; related graduate degree or CPA Five or more years of broad management experience within a multi-site membership and/or program operation, preferably in the YMCA or not-for-profit sector.
Experience with GAAP-based audits required.
Experience with Single Audit process preferred.
Background must include strong skills in human relations, budgeting and fiscal management, policy volunteer development, financial development, and staff management.
Knowledge and experience in all aspects of operations, including staff supervision and development, successful membership practices, quality program development and implementation, volunteerism, facility and property management and sound financial practices.
Essential Functions Direct and oversee all aspects of the Association’s Finance, Budgeting and Payroll efforts, maintaining accounting and payroll systems, and fiscal management functions throughout the Association.
Collaborates with the CEO and executive leadership team to develop and align the financial decisions and actions with the strategic objectives of the organization.
Direct and oversee all aspects of the Association’s Information Technology efforts.
Supervises Compliance Director and helps develop policies and procedures to keep Association in compliance with any regulations relating to funding received from government organizations.
Supervise Accounting and IT staff; including recruitment, coaching, team building, training, evaluation, development, recognition, mentoring and employment transitions to ensure an effective values-driven team.
Leads budgeting and forecasting processes for the Association; integrates budget with Strategic Plan and Business Plan goals.
Oversees and manages relationships with lending institutions, stakeholders, and the financial community.
Oversees all contractual relationships; ensures that contracts are valid and support Association goals.
