I got this amp 2 years ago as a spare to leave at my guitarist's house, so I wouldn't have to haul in my ampeg 4x10 every weekend.
The original speakers blew up at its first ever jam session, and I replaced them with a pair of Eminence Legends, the same speakers used in Mesa Boogie Powerhouse cabs.
It sounds great, with a Stingray and a sansamp bass driver in front of it, I was getting kinda somewhat close to the Tool tone (Justin uses gallien-krueger heads with mesa cabs).
The head portion puts out 300 watts at 4 ohms.
Originally, the factory speakers were wired to run half power at 8 ohms, so you had to buy their extension cab to connect to it for the full 300 watts.
I wired these two 8 ohm speakers in parallel for full power, though.
Do not connect another cab to it or it'll try running at 2 ohms and might self destruct.
It's a cool combo, I just don't use it anymore because that band split up and I don't have room for it at my place.
