Responsibilities Follow all cash handling and check receiving procedures; maintain the accuracy of your till Be proactive in greeting and assisting customers, responding promptly to customer needs Gain a thorough understanding of the member/owner program and promote the program to customers Manage difficult customer situations with objectivity, neutrality, and calmness; always ‘go the extra mile’ Clean, stock and detail front of store, with special attention to assigned register Work in a fast-paced environment with many interruptions Uphold state regulations concerning the sale of alcoholic beverages and State of Idaho Health Safety codes Walk produce department at the beginning of every shift to identify and learn new produce codes Requirements Cashiering, cash handling, and customer service experience Retail or grocery experience Open availability for scheduling Successfully able to pass criminal background check Excellent communication skills Able to comprehend instructions, memos, and training materials Strong desire to provide excellent customer service and build relationships Work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the department Maintain regular and punctual attendance, with or without reasonable accommodation Comply with all departmental policies and procedures Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently Physical Demands and Working Environment: The conditions herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
