SCOPE:
The Convenience Assistant Store Manager is responsible for assisting the Store Manager in running the daily operations of the store.
The successful candidate will assist in supervising employees, controlling inventory, and ensuring customer satisfaction
SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES & DELIVERABLES
Assist in the hiring, training, and scheduling of employees
Ensure that employees follow store policies and procedures
Assist in maintaining inventory levels and placing orders
Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the store
Address customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner
Research and suggest new products to attract and retain customers
Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly sales and inventory reports
Ensure that sales goals and budgets are met
Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and customers Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager
LEADERSHIP & TEAM REACH
The Assistant Store Manager will report directly to the store Manager.
This position will understand and live our Core Values.
It will be necessary to multitask, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations, and work responsibly with or without direct supervision.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required
Must have 2+ years of management or lead experience
2+ years of experience in a retail/ convenience store setting required
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS
Both in outside weather conditions as well as in an office environment, including extreme heat and cold
Regularly required to talk and hear
Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing
Lift and/or move items over 50 pounds
Vision abilities such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
