Garden center team members play an important role in ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality service.
In this role you will understand the importance of having great customer service, attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a good sense of retail operations.
The position will have learning and advancement opportunities and will be geared towards further growth and career opportunities within FarWest.
*Team Member Responsibilities include but are not limited to:* Ensure customer satisfaction through excellent customer service by assisting them to load their vehicles or doing carry outs from the front counter.
Delivery and planting of trees and shrubs to customers homes.
Assist in maintaining the appearance of the nursery.
Assist with nursery tasks that include cleanup, pruning and deadheading plants, spacing, merchandising, watering and weed control.
Being open and flexible to duties potentially not included in the job description.
*Team Member Skills* Experience in retail (preferred) Ability to interact with customers in a positive manner.
Will be able to arrive on time and ready to work.
Willingness to work in a fast paced environment and at times in inclement weather.
Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time and walking.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Willingness to learn, we will train the right candidates.
Equipment operation (skid steer and power equipment) is a plus.
This is a full-time, seasonal position (February through November), with hourly pay DOE.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: From $15.
