REPUBLIC STORAGE OF IDAHO _*JOB DESCRIPTION*_ *Job Title:* Relief Manager *Reports To:* Operations Manager *Updated:* 3/7/2024 *FLSA Status:* Non-exempt *SUMMARY:* Under general supervision, Relief Managers are responsible for overseeing all office aspects of the day-to-day operations of our self-storage facilities.
Relief Managers are not assigned to a specific property and may be required to travel to different locations during the course of the normal work week.
They are expected to demonstrate a sense of “pride-of-ownership” as if they owned the facilities themselves.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:* The marginal functions of this position have not been included.

An employee will be required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties requested by the supervisor and/or manager.
* Customer Service including phone sales * General office and clerical skills including computer bookkeeping, rentals, vacates, transfers and other customer service needs.
* Collection of money from customers and daily bank deposits.
* General maintenance and upkeep of the physical appearance of the property including sweeping, cleaning, trash removal.
* Cleaning and general upkeep of the property office and restrooms.
* Understanding and compliance with all operational policies and procedures * Merchandise sales, inventory and supply requisitions.
* Reporting to the Home Office whenever required.
Other responsibilities may include: * Assistance with the delinquent tenant process including certified mailings, inventories and sales.
* Conducting business before or after established hours in order to accommodate unique customer needs.
*QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:* To perform this job successfully, the Relief Manager must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

*EDUCATON and EXPERIENCE:* * High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
* Previous experience in a customer service-related industry.
* Sitelink experience preferred but not required * Basic office experience *CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS:* * Must possess a valid standard driver’s license, currently registered motor vehicle in reliable working order and insurance.
*SKILLS:* * Excellent customer service skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal.
* Proficiency with Windows based personal computer applications.
* Ability to read and interpret instructions, documents such as rental agreements, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and policy manuals.
* Basic mathematical skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
* Ability to apply common sense, good judgment and offer solutions in dealing with problems.
* Must be organized, efficient and professional at all times.
* Must be reliable, honest and trustworthy.
*PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT:* The physical demands and working conditions described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
* Duties are performed in an inside environment where employees are regularly required to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, stoop and climb steps.
* Employees are regularly required to perform physical activities such as sweeping and occasional lifting or moving boxes, office equipment or furniture up to 50 lbs.
* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
* Employees regularly work in inside and may occasionally be exposed to dust or airborne particles.
* The noise level in with work environment is usually moderate.
